We believe we’ve managed to create the closest possible thing to a perfect Gin & Tonic.

Our Classic Tonic Syrup (formerly known as our Small Batch Tonic) is essentially a quinine concentrate. It’s designed to pair with your favorite Gin or Vodka, and is then stretched with soda water to make a bright, light, refreshing highball.

With a backbone of quinine, culled from the Cinchona Tree, we’ve added a delicate mix of botanicals and then sweetened it with real cane sugar; the final product is a complex mixture that introduces a fine bitterness to any cocktail, and a great pairing with the botanicals of the finest Gins in the world.

Quinine was once considered a cure for malaria. We aren't doctors, so the only thing we definitively know it will cure is the happy hour conundrum.

Classic Tonic

I enjoy a good Gin & Tonic in the hot summer months.
I became frustrated with the store bought tonic bottles going flat before I finished the bottle. So, I bought a seltzer gun and would put that tonic in thee to keep the fizz.

I then wondered if there was a tonic "syrup" I could buy to make my own.
A little googling later and I found Jack Rudy's Classic Tonic mix. In one of the reviews it was mentioned that Alton Brown had recommended it, so that was enough for me to buy it.

I was sold the very first time I used it. It doesn't have a strong quinine bite that other store bought tonic water has, it's there, but the sweetness provided by the cane sugar makes it a much more balanced flavor.
In fact, after my first taste, I wondered if there was any quinine in it at all. After all, one can't be too careful, there could be mosquitos with malaria floating around and so one should be prepared and take appropriate defensive measures.
I did check it out and there is quinine in the recipe.
I figured out the right ratio for syrup and water to mix in my seltzer gun based on the directions for syrup and soda water, so I mix it up in my seltzer gun and enjoy a refreshing Bombay Sapphire & Jack Rudy tonic, with lime of course, when it gets hot.

Complex flavor profile

I’m new to tonic recipe variations, so the tonic was an eye-opener for me. The botanicals lend complex flavors that linger. Sipping and savoring the tonic to explore the taste is something I wasn’t expecting, and it’s wonderful!

Great mixer!

Had the best vodka tonic of my life in restaurant in Amarillo. When I told the bartender, he brought the bottle over to show me. As soon as I got home, I ordered it!

G&T the way it’s supposed to be…

Saw Alton Brown use this in a video about the best Gin & Tonic so I ordered some and it has been a major hit!
Also ordered some of the Elderflower Tonic and it makes a great G&T with a more floral gin like Aviation.
