Our Small Batch Grenadine was our second product after our Classic Tonic Syrup, and no less a labor of love.

We start with pomegranate juice from a small family farm in Madera, CA; they juice their fruit whole in a patented press that renders a matchless, robust pomegranate juice. To that we add cane sugar and orange flower water, and apply enough heat to dissolve the sugar while still maintaining the inherent zip of the fresh juice.

Jack Rudy Small Batch Grenadine is rich and full-flavored up front, and then gives way to a bright, almost tropical finish that lifts a drinks profile; use it to create new cocktails, or to revisit classic drinks like a Ward 8, Jack Rose, El Presidente, or Monkey Gland.

Elderflower yum

I bought three different syrups all are very good but the elderflower is by far my favorite.

Good but different

So this stuff tastes good and makes good drinks and I really wanted to try the real thing. It is a natural product, and I appreciate that. However, it does not make drinks turn the pretty color that the cheap grenadine does. Those are very pretty to look at and the JR turns them a darker and more muddled color. They taste good, though with all the ingredients mixed I’m not sure I notice a difference. I do miss presenting the prettier drinks that you get color wise with Roses grenadine

the best natural grenadine on the market!

I've tried most of the all-natural pomegranate-based grenadine available. Jack Rudy is the best! Bright, deep flavor, sweet, fruity, and with a hint of floral, along with the sour/bitter notes that are the sign of real pomegranate. (But without the heavy bitterness from too many crushed seeds being included in the juicing.) Yes, the color is a red-brown, especially over time. It oxidizes naturally because there are no preservatives. Want absolute pinky-red forever? You need chemical additives (not in Jack Rudy).
This is the grenadine that will make a Jack Rose cocktail sing. All the rest make you wonder what the fuss is about.

delicious

This syrup gets added to a lot of beverages at our house. So fresh and sprightly. Only four stars because of the cheesy cap. Hard to screw on properly, very hard to remove, even when I clean the bottle rim and cap before closing the bottle.
